The 8-Week Vet Check, Vaccinations & Microchip
At 8 weeks, your puppy will have their first comprehensive vet check at Vets4Pets Livingston, ensuring they’re healthy and ready to join your family.
During this appointment, your puppy will receive:
- First set of vaccinations to protect them from common diseases.
- Microchip implantation for identification and safety.
The vet will also perform a thorough examination, checking:
- Eyes and ears for any signs of issues.
- Teeth for alignment and development.
- Heart for any murmurs or irregularities.
- Testes (for male puppies) to ensure proper development.
- Joints for mobility and potential concerns.
- Umbilical area to check for hernias.
- Weight to ensure they’re on track for healthy growth.
After the examination, the vet will provide a puppy health report, documenting all findings for your records and peace of mind.
This visit is an important milestone, setting the foundation for your puppy’s lifelong health and wellbeing.
Your vet will have permission to discuss and request your puppy's vet record.
